During the growth ultrasound, we estimate the weight of the fetus and a so-called with the help of a weight percentile graph, we can follow the growth rate of the fetus and whether it falls within the normal range (10-90 percentile) or not.
During screening, we also examine the location of the fetus, the amount of amniotic fluid, the place of attachment of the placenta, degree of maturity, thickness, vital signs, and the body structure of the fetus. We perform an examination of the length of the cervix with a vaginal ultrasound to assess the risk of premature birth.
We also pay special attention to the examination of the biophysical activity of the fetus (respiratory movements, fetal movements, fetal tone) and to the monitoring of the circulation of the brain and umbilical cord, with the help of which the supply of nutrients and oxygen in the womb of the fetus and possible danger states can be recognized.
